Amaltas is the traditional name associated with the golden shower tree. Herby Factor offers dried botanical material and fine powder. Because a tree supplies many different plant parts, a useful purchase enquiry should identify exactly what the pack contains before deciding on a preparation.
One tree, several materials
Science Centre Singapore identifies the golden shower tree as Cassia fistula and distinguishes its flowers, leaves, bark and pod pulp. These are not interchangeable ingredients. A photograph or the word powder does not establish which part was milled, so request that detail for the current lot.
Why traditional digestive use needs care
The same source describes traditional use of pod pulp for constipation and warns that large amounts of leaves or bark can cause nausea, vomiting and cramps. This is a reason to be specific about plant parts, not a recipe for using an unspecified powder. This guide does not provide an internal dose or recommend self-treatment.
Choose raw or powder deliberately
Raw material retains more visible features for examination. Powder simplifies mixing where a suitable preparation requires ground material, but identification may then require documentation or testing. Confirm suitability with a qualified professional, particularly with pregnancy, medicines or ongoing symptoms.
Before placing an order
Ask for the plant part, species, form and available batch information. Keep sealed and dry. Businesses should agree the ingredient specification before comparing samples or ordering larger quantities for a finished preparation.
